Burnt Broccoli
This is one of my go to sides. Its so easy to make and it takes broccoli from boring to delicious! You won't sleep on broccoli once you've had it like this
Burnt Broccoli
Serves: 2

Ingredients

1 medium head of broccoli (about 3 cups of florets)

1 tbsp olive oil
-
1 tsp salt
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1/4 tsp Italian blend seasoning
-
Red pepper flakes to taste

Juice from 1/2 a lemon
-
2 tablespoons freshly grated parmesan cheese
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees

​Cut broccoli into small florets and save the stem for another recipe.

Put the broccoli onto a baking sheet. Drizzle on the olive oil and add all of the spices.

Toss the broccoli to thoroughly coat each piece with the seasonings.

Spread the broccoli into one layer leaving a little bit of space between the florets.

Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until tender.

Remove from the oven and flip the broccoli over.

Broil on high for 3 minutes to burn the tops.

Squeeze the lemon juice on top and sprinkle on the parmesan cheese.
